Genoa and Internazionale played out a 1-1 draw, which resulted in the Serie A league leaders failing to extend their advantage over Juventus to seven points.

Genoa’s Romanian defender, Radu Dragusin, was the hero of the night as he celebrated scoring his team’s first goal in the Italian Serie A football match against Inter Milan at Luigi Ferraris stadium. The match ended in a draw, which extended Serie A leaders Inter’s lead at the top of the table to five points.

The game was a tightly contested affair, with both teams giving their all on the pitch. However, Inter were far from their best and struggled to find their rhythm throughout the match.

Genoa, on the other hand, dominated the first half hour but failed to convert their dominance into clear-cut chances. It was Inter who took the lead just before the break, thanks to Marko Arnautovic’s first goal for the club. Nicola Barella’s volley was tipped onto the post by Josip Martinez, and Arnautovic was there to pounce on the rebound from close range.

However, Genoa refused to go into halftime trailing and equalized deep into injury time. Dragusin rose above the Inter defense to powerfully head in Albert Gudmundsson’s corner, much to the delight of the home fans.

The second half saw few clear chances for either side, but every set piece for Genoa seemed to cause panic in the Inter area. Despite their efforts, neither team could find a winner, and the match ended in a draw.

With this result, Inter now have a five-point lead at the top of the table, ahead of Juventus’ match against Roma on Saturday. Genoa, on the other hand, remain in 13th place in the Serie A standings.
