Barcelona Crush Benfica 5-0, Lyon Dominates Slavia Prague with 9 Goals

In a remarkable manner, Barcelona commenced their journey in the UEFA Women’s Champions League with an impressive 5-0 triumph against Benfica. Prior to the match at Estadi Johan Cruyff, the team proudly exhibited their recently acquired Ballon d’Or women’s team of the season award to the enthusiastic supporters.

In a separate game, Lyon showcased their superiority by overpowering Slavia Prague with a resounding 9-0 victory. Sara Dabritz initiated the scoring within the initial three minutes, followed by goals from Danielle van de Donk, Vanessa Gilles, Eugenie Le Sommer, and Kadidiatou Diani. Ada Hegerberg also made her mark on the scoreboard by converting a penalty, while Gilles notched her second goal of the evening.

Eintracht Frankfurt emerged victorious with a 2-1 win against Rosengard, thanks to goals from Tanja Pawollek and Barbara Dunst. Despite letting in a late goal, Frankfurt managed to maintain their lead and secure the victory.

Brann clinched a 2-1 win over St Polten, with Natasha Ansai finding the back of the net in the 79th minute to score the winning goal. In the game, Signe Gaupset and Maria Mikolajova also managed to score goals.
