Willian, who plays for Fulham, believes that Rodrigo Muniz has the potential to become a future Golden Boot winner.

Fulham’s Willian believes that his teammate Rodrigo Muniz has the potential to become one of the best strikers in the Premier League. Muniz, who joined Fulham from Flamengo last year, initially struggled to adapt to the team but has had a strong season, scoring 10 goals in 31 appearances.

At the start of the campaign, the 23-year-old went through a goal drought but found his form after scoring in Fulham’s draw against Burnley in February. He went on to score seven goals in as many Premier League matches, including a brace against Tottenham and a stunning scissor-kick goal against Sheffield United.

Muniz’s performances earned him the Premier League player of the month award for March, and he was visibly emotional when receiving the prize from his Brazilian teammates Willian and Andreas Pereira. Willian praised Muniz’s hard work and expressed confidence in his ability to make a significant impact on the league in the future.

When asked if Muniz could compete with the likes of Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah for the Premier League Golden Boot, Willian replied, “I think so. He’s got the quality, he can score goals, he’s strong and I’m sure he can be one of the best in the league.”

Fulham has had a successful season, finishing 10th last year and currently sitting 13th with two matches remaining. Despite their defeat in the Carabao Cup semi-final to Liverpool, Willian believes the club is moving in the right direction and can start competing for titles in the future.

Fulham’s next challenge is a match against Manchester City, who are on the verge of winning their fourth consecutive league title. Willian acknowledges the difficulty of playing against City, describing them as the best team in the league and the world. He emphasizes the need for hard work and consistency to have a chance of defeating Guardiola’s side.

Willian has had some memorable moments against City in the past, scoring against them during his time at Chelsea and helping Liverpool secure the title with a penalty. He understands the challenge of facing a Guardiola team but believes that Fulham can achieve a positive result if they play a perfect game.

“It has to be a perfect game from us on Saturday to beat City,” Willian concluded.
