West Ham and Liverpool drew 2-2, dealing a blow to Liverpool’s chances of winning the title as Mohamed Salah and Jurgen Klopp clashed.

Liverpool’s hopes of clinching the Premier League title took a major blow as they were held to a 2-2 draw by West Ham at the London Stadium. Jurgen Klopp’s side fought back admirably after conceding the opening goal to Jarrod Bowen’s header in the 43rd minute.

The visitors responded swiftly with goals from Andy Robertson in the 48th minute and an unfortunate own goal by West Ham goalkeeper Alphonse Areola in the 65th minute, giving Liverpool a 2-1 lead. However, their advantage was short-lived as Michail Antonio rose to the occasion on the 77th minute, heading in a cross from Bowen to secure a point for West Ham.

Despite dominating large portions of the second half, Liverpool now find themselves in third place in the table, trailing Arsenal by two points. Mikel Arteta’s side will face Tottenham on Sunday, while reigning champions Manchester City sit one point ahead of Liverpool before their match against Nottingham Forest.

Klopp’s team will be concerned as City have two games in hand over them, while Arsenal have one. The title race is heating up, and Liverpool will need to bounce back quickly if they want to keep their hopes alive.
