Tottenham is preparing to compete with Aston Villa for Conor Gallagher, while Matheus Cunha is expected to turn down Manchester United.

In London, England, the race for Conor Gallagher is heating up as both Tottenham and Aston Villa express their interest in signing the Chelsea midfielder this summer. Chelsea, needing to raise funds for their sustainability requirements, may be motivated to sell the player.

Tottenham, in particular, are ready to make an offer for Gallagher before the profit and sustainability deadline at the end of June. They see an opportunity to secure a good value deal for the England international and want to take advantage of Chelsea’s precarious position. Atletico Madrid is also reportedly interested in Gallagher.

Meanwhile, new Napoli manager Antonio Conte is wasting no time in making moves for his team. His first order of business is to secure a deal for Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku. The striker, who has been on loan at Roma this season, could be signed as a replacement for Victor Osimhen.

Conte, who has been out of work since leaving Tottenham in March 2023, has signed a three-year deal with Napoli. Osimhen is expected to leave Napoli this summer, but Chelsea and other clubs have been put off by his hefty £113 million release clause.

Manchester United has set their sights on Wolves forward Matheus Cunha, but the Brazilian is in no rush to leave his current club. Despite United’s plans for a £60 million swoop, Cunha is content at Wolves.

United scouts have been monitoring the 25-year-old, who had a productive season with Wolves, scoring 14 goals and providing eight assists in all competitions. United is keen on doubling his £60,000 wages, but they will have to convince Cunha to make the move to Old Trafford.

In La Liga, Real Madrid is planning to keep Arda Guler in their first-team squad next season, despite interest from Getafe. The 19-year-old had a promising season, scoring six La Liga goals in just four starts and 10 appearances.

However, his season was marred by multiple fitness setbacks, including knee injuries and muscular problems. Getafe had hoped to sign Guler on loan for a year to strengthen their attacking options, but Real Madrid wants to keep him after his impressive performances.
