Saudi Pro League teams are looking to sign Bruno Fernandes, Alisson Becker, and Ederson during the upcoming transfer window, according to reports.
Saudi Pro League clubs are gearing up for the upcoming transfer window and have their sights set on several marquee signings. According to the Telegraph, Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, Liverpool’s Alisson Becker, and Manchester City’s Ederson are all on their ambitious target list. Additionally, there are strong links between United’s Casemiro and a move to Al-Nassr.
Out of the mentioned players, Casemiro is the most likely to make the move to Saudi Arabia, as discussions are already underway. The Telegraph reports that up to 10 marquee signings are expected this summer, with Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo’s club, showing the most interest in Casemiro. Talks have already taken place between the Brazilian midfielder’s representatives and Pro League clubs. While United is willing to sell, they will not force Casemiro out.
Ambitious moves are also being discussed for Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson and Manchester City’s Ederson. There is known interest in Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne as well. Last summer, the Pro League successfully recruited talent from the Premier League, and it seems they are looking to do the same this year. United has already established links with clubs in the league, particularly Al-Ittihad.
Meanwhile, Chelsea is focusing on addressing four areas in their squad. The club’s sporting directors, Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart, will continue leading Chelsea’s transfer business this summer. The club is targeting a forward, a left-back, a central defender, and possibly a goalkeeper. Winstanley and Stewart faced criticism for the squad overhaul last summer, which significantly reduced the average age of the playing staff.
Newcastle is eager to make an early summer move for Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo. The centre-back will become a free agent at the end of the season, and Newcastle wants to secure his signature quickly. This would allow them to allocate more funds towards other targets, including a winger and a striker. Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly is also set to join Newcastle on a free transfer.
Manchester City is leading the race to sign Vivianne Miedema on a free transfer after it was confirmed that she will leave Arsenal at the end of the season. Miedema, the Women’s Super League record goalscorer, is attracting interest from multiple clubs, but City is hopeful she will choose to move up north. Arsenal will give her a farewell when they play Brighton, and City is currently in a title battle with Chelsea while Arsenal is set to finish third.
