Paris Saint-Germain is asking for £85m for Xavi Simons, who is being pursued by Manchester United, while Real Madrid is showing interest in Leny Yoro.
PSG have set a hefty price tag of £85 million for Xavi Simons, who is attracting interest from Manchester United and Arsenal. The playmaker, currently representing the Netherlands in Euro 2024, is highly sought after, but any potential suitor will need to dig deep into their pockets to secure his services. According to The Sun, both Manchester United and Arsenal have been told they must pay a king’s ransom to acquire Simons.
The report states, “Bild claims United, Arsenal, and Bayern Munich have all put Simons high on their shopping lists. United are known to be in the market for a new midfielder, with Simons possessing all the qualities needed for an attacking No. 8. Meanwhile, Arsenal are determined to continue building a mega-star squad in their quest to lift the Premier League title.”
Liverpool’s pursuit of Lille defender Leny Yoro has suffered a setback as Real Madrid have reportedly secured a transfer agreement with the highly rated 18-year-old. The Mirror reports that Real Madrid have established themselves as Yoro’s preferred destination should he leave Lille this summer. However, the move is dependent on whether Nacho leaves the club. Real Madrid hope to utilize the agreement with Yoro to convince Lille of his desire to move to the Spanish capital, even if it means waiting for 12 months. Liverpool, Manchester United, and Bayern Munich have also been linked with a move for Yoro.
Arsenal have intensified their interest in Fenerbahce’s Ferdi Kadioglu by submitting a £17 million bid for the full-back. However, The Sun reports that this offer falls significantly short of Fenerbahce’s asking price of £30 million. Kadioglu has emerged as a top target for Arsenal, with manager Mikel Arteta keeping a close eye on him in recent months. Borussia Dortmund is also interested in the 24-year-old and has already made a £21 million offer.
