Nicolas Jackson scores two goals and Cole Palmer adds another as the Blues secure a win in the Premier League.

In a thrilling London derby, Chelsea showcased their attacking prowess with a commanding 3-0 victory over West Ham United at the London Stadium. The win propelled the Blues to second place in the Premier League table, just two points behind reigning champions Manchester City.

Nicolas Jackson was the star of the show for Chelsea, netting a brace that highlighted his growing confidence and skill. The lively forward opened the scoring just four minutes into the match, capitalising on a precise pass from Jadon Sancho to slot the ball home. Jackson doubled his tally in the 14th minute, finishing off a well-timed run after being expertly set up by Moises Caicedo.

Despite Chelsea’s dominance, West Ham briefly threatened to mount a comeback before half-time. However, any hopes of a revival were dashed just after the break when Cole Palmer sealed the victory with a well-placed shot that ricocheted in off the post. This goal came courtesy of a swift counter-attack initiated by Jackson, who continued to impress throughout the match.

Under the guidance of Enzo Maresca, Chelsea have now amassed 10 points from their last four fixtures, bouncing back strongly since their opening day defeat to Manchester City. They currently sit above Arsenal on goal difference, although they have played one more game than their London rivals.

On the other hand, West Ham find themselves languishing in 14th place, having secured just one win from their first five matches. The Hammers are grappling with a concerning slump in form, as this defeat marks the first time in their history that they have lost their opening three home games of a league campaign.

With pressure mounting, David Moyes will be keen to turn things around quickly as they look to regain their footing in the Premier League.
