Mohamed Salah believes he is “more outside than inside” at Liverpool because he hasn’t received a contract proposal.

**Salah’s Future Uncertain as Liverpool Soar Eight Points Clear**

In a season that has seen Liverpool surge to the top of the Premier League, Mohamed Salah has expressed his disappointment over the lack of a new contract offer from the club. The Egyptian forward, who has been instrumental in Liverpool’s success this term with an impressive tally of 12 goals and 10 assists in just 18 appearances, finds himself at a crossroads as his current deal approaches its expiration next summer.

Following Liverpool’s recent victory against Southampton, Salah revealed his feelings about the situation. “We are almost in December and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay at the club,” he stated, reflecting on his long-standing relationship with the Reds. “I’m probably more out than in. You know I have been in the club for many years. There is no club like this.”

The 32-year-old’s comments highlight a growing concern among fans and pundits alike regarding his future at Anfield. “But in the end, it is not in my hands,” Salah continued. “As I said before, it is December and I haven’t received anything yet about my future.”

When pressed on whether he felt let down by the lack of contract discussions, Salah did not hold back. “Of course, yeah. I love the fans. The fans love me. In the end, it is not in my hands or the fans’ hands. Let’s wait and see.”

Despite the uncertainty, Salah remains focused on the present. “I’m not going to retire soon, so I’m just playing, focusing on the season, and I’m trying to win the Premier League and hopefully the Champions League as well. I’m disappointed, but we will see.”

Since joining Liverpool from Roma in 2017, Salah has netted an astonishing 223 goals in 367 appearances, solidifying his status as one of the club’s all-time greats. His stellar performances have been pivotal in helping Liverpool make a strong start to the 2024/25 season under new head coach Arne Slot.

However, Salah’s future is not the only topic of discussion, as fellow stars Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold also face contract uncertainties, with their deals set to expire next summer. “I’m very professional. Everybody can see my work ethic,” Salah asserted. “I’m just trying to enjoy my football and I will play at the top level as long as possible. I’m just doing my best because this is who I am and I try to give it all for myself and for the club. We will see what happens next.”

Rumours have circulated linking Salah with a move to the Saudi Pro League, but he remained tight-lipped on the subject. “I don’t want to speak about that. I am focused with the team now,” he said.

As Liverpool prepares for a crucial week ahead, facing Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday and then Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday, all eyes will be on Salah and his teammates as they aim to maintain their impressive form. The coming days could prove pivotal, not just for the club’s ambitions this season, but also for Salah’s future at Anfield.
