Manchester United is eyeing Freddie Woodman in order to facilitate a transfer for either Liam Delap, Viktor Gyokeres, or Victor Osimhen.

**Man Utd Target Woodman**

Manchester United are reportedly keeping tabs on Preston North End goalkeeper Freddie Woodman, according to The Sun. The 28-year-old is set to become a free agent at the end of the season and is seen as a potential back-up option for the Red Devils, alongside Blackburn’s Aynsley Pears.

The report states, “Manchester United’s search for a ‘domestic’ cover goalkeeper has stretched to an England U20 World Cup hero.” Woodman has had an impressive season, keeping 13 clean sheets in 37 Championship appearances. However, he has recently missed a few games due to an ankle injury.

**Man Utd Keeping Funds for Striker**

The Express suggests that both Pears and Woodman are attractive targets for United as they would not significantly impact the club’s summer spending. This would allow the club to allocate more funds towards acquiring a new striker, with names like Victor Osimhen, Viktor Gyokeres, and Liam Delap being considered.

The paper explains, “The most costly aspect of United’s summer recruitment drive could lie up top. The 20-time league winners are expected to bring in a new striker as Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee struggle to cope with the pressures of the English top flight.” Each of the mentioned strikers would command a hefty transfer fee, prompting United to seek bargain opportunities in other positions.

**Muller May Make MLS Switch**

The Athletic reports that Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller is unlikely to make a move to Saudi Arabia when his time in Germany concludes. Instead, a free transfer to Los Angeles FC appears to be a more plausible option, given the existing relationship between the two clubs.

The website notes, “Muller is like a character from a Bavarian fairytale.. and yet he will have to. There is next to no chance that he will play for another German club; that’s inconceivable.” With Muller set to turn 36 in September, the physical demands of the Premier League may not be suitable, leaving the MLS as a likely destination. Discussions between Bayern and Los Angeles FC have taken place, although no resolution has been reached.

**Liverpool Draw Up Left-Back Shortlist**

Liverpool are reportedly eyeing Fulham full-back Antonee Robinson as a potential signing this summer. The Mirror also mentions Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez and Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Rayan Ait-Nouri as other options.

The report states, “Bournemouth know Kerkez could soon be off to a bigger club and would want around £40 million for the 21-year-old, whose Cherries deal runs until 2028.” Ait-Nouri, a 23-year-old Algerian, has had a productive season with four goals and five assists. Robinson faces competition, and Liverpool’s sporting director Richard Hughes is familiar with Kerkez, having signed him for Bournemouth from AZ Alkmaar in 2023.

Ait-Nouri could be the more affordable option, as he will have just a year left on his Wolves contract this summer, although the club has the option to extend it by another year. Hughes and Liverpool have a significant decision to make this summer.
