Manchester United have set a price for Jadon Sancho as Paris Saint-Germain shows interest.
United set valuation for Sancho
Manchester United are reportedly open to selling Jadon Sancho despite recent reconciliation with manager Erik ten Hag. Paris Saint-Germain is interested in the winger, but United is demanding around £40 million for his transfer.
According to The Mirror, “Jadon Sancho could potentially leave Manchester United for Paris St Germain, but only if they are willing to meet the £40 million price tag. Sancho has returned to training with United after spending the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund, following a public fallout with Erik ten Hag. The manager and Sancho recently had a clear-the-air meeting.”
United is looking to recoup approximately half of the £73 million they paid Dortmund for Sancho in 2021. The player was sidelined by Ten Hag after publicly disputing his manager’s decision to exclude him from the matchday squad in a 3-1 defeat against Arsenal last season.
Chelsea prepare for clearout
The Daily Mail reports that six players at Chelsea face an uncertain future after being left out of the club’s pre-season tour. Romelu Lukaku is among those not included, raising speculation about potential departures.
“Some notable names have been omitted from Chelsea’s US pre-season tour, with six players in particular facing an uncertain future,” states the report.
“The club has announced a 28-man squad for their trip to the United States, with their first game against Wrexham in California. Excluding the five players whose international breaks were extended and the injured Djordje Petrovic, there are 43 other players who have been left out of the squad for various reasons.”
The exclusions of Romelu Lukaku, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Trevoh Chalobah, Cesare Casadei, David Datro Fofana, and Malang Sarr further fuel speculation that they could permanently leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
West Ham keen on Wan-Bissaka
The Evening Standard suggests that West Ham’s chances of signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka have received a boost. Manchester United’s interest in Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui could pave the way for Wan-Bissaka’s departure.
“West Ham’s hopes of securing Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s signature have been boosted by Manchester United’s interest in Bayern Munich full-back Noussair Mazraoui,” reports the paper.
“The potential arrival of Mazraoui, who previously worked with United manager Erik ten Hag at Ajax, could facilitate Wan-Bissaka’s exit. The right-back is in the final year of his contract at Old Trafford, and United is prepared to sell him this summer.”
West Ham is in the market for a new right-back after Ben Johnson’s departure to Ipswich following the expiration of his contract.
De Gea ready for return
According to The Athletic, former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is ready to make a comeback this summer. The experienced Spaniard has options in Italy, Saudi Arabia, and the United States and is eager to resume his career.
The website states, “This week, we reported in the Transfer DealSheet that he is nearing a return to football after being presented with several options, including one club each from Saudi Arabia, the United States, and Italy. He expects to have news on his future next week.”
De Gea’s preferred choice in the United States would be on the West Coast, but he may also consider staying in Europe. He has no offers from Spain, where he began his career with Atletico Madrid in 2009, and sources close to him indicate that he has no intention of playing for another English team besides United.
