Manchester United are considering a potential £60m acquisition of Gleison Bremer, while Thomas Tuchel has expressed interest in joining Barcelona.
Gleison Bremer, the Juventus defender, is reportedly a target for Manchester United this summer. The Brazil international recently signed a contract extension with the Italian giants, but The Sun claims that an offer of £60 million could be enough to bring him to Manchester. United have been monitoring Bremer for several months, with manager Erik ten Hag eager to strengthen his defense. Italian outlet Calciomercato suggests that United are preparing to make a move for the player, and Juventus are willing to let him go for the right price. Talks could accelerate at the end of the Premier League season.
In other news, Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel has reportedly offered himself to Barcelona amid doubts over his future with the German club. Tuchel led Bayern to the Bundesliga title last season, but his team currently trails league leaders Bayer Leverkusen by five points after a recent 3-0 defeat. With current Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez set to leave his role at the end of the season, Mundo Deportivo claims that Tuchel has expressed his interest in taking over at the Spanish club. Barcelona had previously considered Tuchel as a potential candidate following Ronald Koeman’s departure in 2021.
Meanwhile, Barcelona is said to be keeping tabs on Manchester City star Lauren Hemp. The forward’s contract with City is set to expire this summer, and while she is expected to be offered a new deal, Barcelona’s interest could prove tempting. The Spanish giants are in the market for a new forward after Nigeria star Asisat Oshoala joined an American club earlier this month. Hemp is not the only Lionesses player attracting interest from a big European club, as Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly tracking Manchester United goalkeeper Mary Earps, who is also due to be out of contract this summer. Arsenal had previously shown interest in Earps, but Barcelona has also been linked with the player.
