Liverpool has identified two potential replacements for Jurgen Klopp this summer, who could fill the void left by the departure of Xabi Alonso.
Liverpool are already making plans for life after Jurgen Klopp, with Xabi Alonso being their top choice to replace the German manager. However, there is no guarantee that Alonso will leave Bayer Leverkusen or join Bayern Munich. In the event that they cannot secure Alonso’s signature, Liverpool have identified Ruben Amorim and Julian Nagelsmann as potential alternatives.
Amorim, currently at Sporting Lisbon, has emerged as one of Europe’s brightest young coaches, while Nagelsmann will be available after the European Championships.
Meanwhile, Manchester United may have missed out on signing goalkeeper Ivan Provedel. The Lazio shot-stopper has signed a new contract with the Serie A club, ending any hopes United had of bringing him to Old Trafford. Provedel expressed his happiness and commitment to Lazio on social media, putting an end to the transfer rumors.
Nottingham Forest, on the other hand, seem to have secured the signing of former Manchester United academy player Adam Berry. The 18-year-old had attracted interest from Burnley and Rangers, but Forest offered him a contract following a successful trial. Berry had announced his departure from Carrington earlier this month and is now set to join Forest.
Chelsea are reportedly considering the sale of goalkeeper Robert Sanchez. The Spaniard’s injury-enforced absence has raised doubts about his future, and Chelsea are said to be eyeing Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale as a potential replacement. Sanchez, who joined Chelsea for £25 million, has fallen out of favor and his injury has given Djordje Petrovic a chance to impress. If the right offer comes in, Chelsea would be willing to cash in on Sanchez this summer.
