Jude Bellingham finds the net in a thrilling match with six goals as Los Blancos settle for a draw.

**Bellingham Shines as Real Madrid Held to Thrilling Draw by Rayo Vallecano**

In a pulsating encounter at the Estadio de Vallecas, Jude Bellingham of Real Madrid CF celebrated his second goal of the match, but it was not enough to secure victory as Los Blancos were held to a dramatic 3-3 draw against Rayo Vallecano on December 14, 2024.

The match got off to a shocking start for the visitors, with Rayo Vallecano taking the lead just four minutes in. Unai Lopez capitalised on a defensive lapse from Real Madrid, heading home a brilliant cross from Jorge de Frutos, leaving Thibaut Courtois with no chance.

Things went from bad to worse for the Madrid giants when, in the 36th minute, Rayo doubled their advantage. A corner from Isi Palazon found Abdul Mumin at the back post, who nodded the ball past Courtois, sending the home fans into raptures.

However, Real Madrid were not to be outdone. Federico Valverde sparked a revival with a stunning strike from 30 yards out, which flashed past Rayo’s goalkeeper Augusto Batalla and nestled into the bottom corner just three minutes later.

As the first half drew to a close, Bellingham showcased his talent, directing a precise cross from Rodrygo into the bottom right corner, bringing the score to 2-2 and giving Real Madrid a much-needed boost going into the break.

The second half saw Rodrygo seemingly complete the comeback with a spectacular effort from the edge of the box, finding the top corner. But the drama was far from over, as Isi Palazon intervened once again, managing to get a touch on Florian Lejeune’s ball, which deflected past Courtois to restore parity at 3-3.

Both teams pushed for a winner in the closing stages, with Courtois making a remarkable save to deny Lejeune’s free-kick, ensuring the points were shared in a thrilling contest.

Looking ahead, Real Madrid will shift their focus to the international stage as they prepare to face Pachuca in the 2024 FIFA Intercontinental Cup final in Qatar on December 18. Following that, they will return to LaLiga action against Sevilla on December 22.

Meanwhile, Rayo Vallecano will embark on two away trips, facing Villarreal on December 18 and Real Betis on December 22, as they aim to build on this impressive performance before the Christmas break.
