James Maddison has been left out of the England squad for UEFA Euro 2024, while Curtis Jones and Jarell Quansah are expected to be excluded.

However, these omissions have opened up a window of opportunity for Adam Wharton. The Crystal Palace midfielder, who made his senior England debut in Monday’s victory over Bosnia, now has a chance to secure a spot in the final squad.

Looking ahead, England’s Euro 2024 campaign kicks off on June 16 against Serbia. The team will then face Denmark and Slovenia on June 20 and June 25, respectively, in the group stage matches.
