In January, Victor Osimhen may leave Galatasaray to join Chelsea.

Victor Osimhen, one of the best fans in the world, is said to be “really excited” about his shock loan move to Galatasaray. The Nigerian forward, who currently plays for Napoli, could make the switch to Turkey as early as January.

The Mirror reports that Osimhen has a break clause in his loan deal, which means he could potentially join Chelsea in the future. Although the loan move to Galatasaray has not been officially confirmed yet, the Turkish transfer window remains open until September 13.

Osimhen is expected to complete a straight loan with no option to buy, which is seen as a major coup for the Turkish champions. Chelsea, who missed out on signing Osimhen, responded by offering a new contract to striker Nicolas Jackson.

Napoli’s delay in allowing Osimhen to leave was due to negotiations over a new deal for the striker. The compromise reached includes an extension until 2027 on the same wages, but with a lower release clause of £67.4m if the club fails to make a sale by June 2025. Osimhen also secured his wish of a break clause, which allows him to cut short his loan in January if one of 10 unnamed clubs come in.

In other transfer news, Ben Chilwell of Chelsea has been linked with a potential move to Fenerbahce. Managed by Jose Mourinho, the Turkish Super Lig side could be an option for the defender. Chilwell, however, is said to be content at Stamford Bridge and will only consider a move if the right opportunity arises. The Turkish transfer window remains open until September 13, giving Chilwell more time to make a decision.

Ivan Toney, who recently moved to the Saudi Pro League, is set to earn huge sums with Al Ahli. The striker, who left Brentford on deadline day, will reportedly earn almost £500,000 a week after bonuses are included. His four-year deal will see him earn a basic pay of around £400,000 per week after tax, with add-ons and performance-related bonuses potentially taking his salary to nearly £500,000 per week.

Leandro Trossard of Arsenal is considering an exit from the club. Al Ittihad had a bid rejected for the forward, but he is not guaranteed a regular starting place. Trossard has been an important player for Arsenal since joining from Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2023, but he has not been a guaranteed starter. The club turned down Al Ittihad’s loan offer, which included a fee of €5 million and an obligation to buy next summer for a price between €20 million and €25 million.
