France suffered a 1-3 defeat against Italy as Kylian Mbappe was unable to make an impact, resulting in a disappointing start to their Nations League campaign under Didier Deschamps.

England’s hopes are high as they look to replicate their heroic victory against England when they face Ireland in their upcoming match. The Italians got off to a fantastic start in their UEFA Nations League campaign with a thrilling 3-1 win over France at the Parc des Princes in Paris.

It was a dream start for France as Bradley Barcola, the talented winger from Paris Saint-Germain, stole the ball from Giovanni Di Lorenzo and swiftly found the back of the net just 13 seconds into the game. This marked Barcola’s first international goal and gave France an early advantage.

Italy, however, came close to equalizing just five minutes later when Davide Frattesi had a golden opportunity from close range. Unfortunately, his header hit the crossbar, denying Italy the equalizer they were desperately seeking.

But the visitors didn’t let this setback deter them, and they managed to pull level in the 30th minute. Federico Dimarco and Sandro Tonali combined brilliantly, executing a seamless one-touch move. Dimarco received the ball and unleashed a powerful volley into the far top corner, leaving the French goalkeeper with no chance.

The second half saw Italy take the lead through Frattesi, who made up for his earlier miss. He met Mateo Retegui’s low cross and expertly guided the ball past the helpless Mike Maignan, putting Italy ahead.

To secure the victory, Giacomo Raspadori sealed the deal for Italy. After some impressive play from Destiny Udogie on the left, Raspadori received the ball in the box and skillfully maneuvered past William Saliba before calmly slotting it into the net.

This thrilling win has undoubtedly boosted Italy’s confidence as they continue their UEFA Nations League campaign. England will be hoping to replicate this kind of performance and secure a similar result when they face Ireland.
