Chelsea have reached an agreement to acquire the promising young talent Estevao Willian from Palmeiras for a fee of £29 million in 2025.

Chelsea are reportedly close to signing Brazilian wonderkid Estevao Willian. The Mirror states that the Blues have agreed to a deal worth £29 million for the 17-year-old forward, with the potential for the fee to rise to £56 million including add-ons. Chelsea had representatives present at Willian’s recent match for Palmeiras against Independiente del Valle, and negotiations with the Brazilian club are said to be in the final stages. Personal terms have already been agreed, and the transfer is expected to be completed in the summer of 2025, following Willian’s 18th birthday next April.

In other news, Brighton are in need of a new manager as Roberto De Zerbi will be leaving the club at the end of the season. The Telegraph suggests that Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna is a potential target for the Seagulls. McKenna could be seen as a suitable replacement for De Zerbi, who has impressed during his time at Brighton and has attracted interest from top clubs in Europe, including Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile, Manchester United and Chelsea are also considering De Zerbi as a managerial option, according to the Express. Both clubs are uncertain about the futures of their current managers, Erik ten Hag and Mauricio Pochettino, after difficult seasons. De Zerbi’s availability could provide an intriguing option for both clubs, without the need for compensation payments.

Lastly, Chelsea are set to make a behind-the-scenes addition with the recruitment of Brentford’s tactical statistician Bernardo Cueva, as reported by the Evening Standard. Cueva will join the Blues to establish a new set-piece department, as part of the club’s ongoing revolution.
