Anthony Gordon, a former player for Everton, is being considered for a return to Merseyside as Liverpool shows interest in the Newcastle winger.
Liverpool Football Club is reportedly targeting Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon. The 23-year-old has had a successful season, scoring 11 goals and providing 11 assists, and has earned a call-up to the England national team. Liverpool’s scouting team has taken notice of Gordon as they prepare for the post-Jurgen Klopp era. However, Newcastle may be reluctant to sell their star player, who joined them just last year in a £45 million move from Everton.
Bayern Munich is also in the news, as they are looking to add a third English player to their squad. After being rejected by Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner, Bayern is now interested in midfielder Adam Wharton. They are also reportedly interested in Everton midfielder Amadou Onana. Wharton was previously a target for Bayern and Chelsea, but Palace managed to secure his signature. Bayern would now have to pay £60 million to acquire him.
Real Madrid is said to be pursuing a “massive deal” to sign Bayern Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz. However, they are not planning to sign him until the summer of 2025, giving Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, and Liverpool a year’s head start. Real Madrid has already started preparations to acquire Wirtz at the end of the 2024-25 campaign. This means that the other clubs will need to act quickly in the upcoming transfer window or in January if they want to secure Wirtz. Bayern Munich is also interested in the player, setting the stage for a competitive bidding war.
