In a disastrous turn of events, Marta Bassino has been eliminated from the Women’s Giant Slalom after an awkward fall during her first run. The Italian skier’s hopes were dashed as she failed to recover from the fall, leaving her out of contention for the top spot.
Meanwhile, Napoli’s woes continued in their match against Torino, as they succumbed to a 10-minute period of madness that saw them go two goals down and lose a player. The game started off with an entertaining and open first half, with both teams enjoying periods of power and possession.
Opportunities came at both ends of the pitch, with Napoli being the first to threaten their opponents’ goal in the 26th minute. However, Giacomo Raspadori’s shot was straight at the Torino keeper, who positioned himself well to make the save. On the other hand, Nikola Vlasic looked dangerous for Torino, but his shots were either too late or off target.

With the extra space on the pitch, Torino capitalized and extended their lead through Nicola Vlasic’s well-taken shot from the edge of the box.
Torino sealed the victory in the 66th minute, as Alessandro Buongiorno rose above the Napoli defense to head in a corner from Valentino Lazaro. With no Napoli players contesting the ball, Buongiorno’s header found the top left corner of the net, putting the result beyond doubt.
Napoli struggled to mount a comeback and failed to find the back of the net, extending their scoreless run to four matches. It was a disappointing performance for the Italian side, who now face an uphill battle to turn their fortunes around.
