The Champions League final will take place in Budapest for the first time in 2026, while the Women’s Champions League final will be held in Oslo.

Julian Nagelsmann, the newly appointed manager of the German national team, has set his sights on winning Euro 2024. In an interview, Nagelsmann expressed his ambition and belief that Germany should aim for nothing less than victory in the tournament.

The announcement of the host venue for the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League final has also been made. The prestigious match will be held at the Puskas Arena in Budapest, Hungary. This will be the first time that Hungary has hosted the final of the European Cup, adding to the excitement surrounding the event.

The Puskas Arena, which opened its doors in 2019, has a seating capacity of up to 67,215 spectators. It has already witnessed several high-profile matches, including three games during Euro 2020 and last year’s UEFA Europa League final, where Sevilla emerged victorious after defeating Roma in a thrilling penalty shootout.

The decision to hold the final in Budapest was confirmed by UEFA’s Executive Committee during their recent meeting in Dublin. The committee also discussed the location for the 2026/27 final, but this decision has been postponed until September, pending the submission of refurbishment plans for Milan’s San Siro stadium by the Italian Football Federation.

In addition to the Champions League final, UEFA has announced that the 2025/26 UEFA Women’s Champions League final will be held in Norway for the first time. The Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo, home to Vålerenga, will be the venue for this historic event.

Looking ahead, a new bidding process will be implemented for the 2026/27 final and beyond. Germany has already been selected as the host for the finals in 2026 and 2027, rendering Stuttgart’s bid ineligible. The RB Arena in Leipzig will host the 2026 UEFA Conference League final, while Frankfurt’s Stadion Frankfurt will be the stage for the 2027 UEFA Europa League final.

Lastly, the 2026 Europa League and 2027 Conference League finals will be held at Besiktas Park in Istanbul, Turkey. These decisions mark an exciting future for European football, with various countries and stadiums getting the opportunity to showcase their passion for the sport.

Overall, the recent announcements regarding the host venues for upcoming finals have generated great anticipation and excitement among football fans. With Nagelsmann’s determination to win Euro 2024 and the prospect of witnessing thrilling matches in iconic stadiums, the future of European football looks incredibly promising.
