Sporting Lisbon has pinpointed a replacement for Viktor Gyokeres as an agreement with Arsenal approaches finalization, while they are also eyeing a return for Joao Felix from Benfica.

In a surprising turn of events, Chelsea’s Joao Felix has expressed his desire to remain at AC Milan beyond the current season. The Portuguese forward, who has been on loan at the Serie A giants, stated, “I would like that,” hinting at his contentment with life in Italy.

In transfer news, Sporting Lisbon are reportedly eyeing Almeria striker Luis Suarez as a potential replacement for Viktor Gyokeres. According to A Bola, the 27-year-old Colombian was the top scorer in Spain’s second division, netting 27 goals and 31 in all competitions. While Suarez is attracting interest from various clubs, Sporting appear to be in pole position, primarily due to their ability to offer him direct entry into the Champions League.

Barcelona are set to benefit financially this summer from two of their former La Masia graduates, Oscar Mingueza and Mika Marmol. Mundo Deportivo has reported that the Catalan club could receive 50% of any transfer fees generated by Celta Vigo and Las Palmas for the two players.

Mingueza, whose contract with Celta Vigo expires next summer, faces a decision on whether to renew or potentially leave this window. If he opts not to renew, he could either see out his contract and become a free agent in June or a club could trigger his €20m (£17m) buyout clause.

Meanwhile, Las Palmas are demanding €10m (£8.6m) for Marmol, whose contract runs until 2026. Girona has shown interest in the defender, and should a deal go through, half of the fee would go to Barcelona.

In further transfer speculation, Benfica are reportedly keen to re-sign Joao Felix, who began his career at the club. A Bola has claimed that Benfica’s coach, Bruno Lage, has managed to convince Felix to consider a return to the Estadio da Luz. However, the publication warns that a move is still “light years away from becoming a reality,” with Felix’s transfer fee, salary expectations, and image rights posing significant hurdles.

In a potential high-profile move, AC Milan’s Theo Hernandez is reportedly on the verge of joining Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League. La Gazzetta dello Sport has indicated that the French international has been offered a lucrative contract worth €20m per season (£17m).

The deal is expected to be finalised following Al-Hilal’s elimination from the Club World Cup. Initially hesitant, Hernandez reconsidered after negotiations with Atletico Madrid fell through. However, an agreement between the clubs is still pending, with Al-Hilal proposing €20m plus €5m (£4.3m) in bonuses, while Milan are holding out for €25m (£21m) upfront.
