Ruud van Nistelrooy is coming back to Manchester United to join Erik ten Hag’s coaching staff.

“It’s tough to take,” expressed Virgil van Dijk as the Netherlands’ dreams came crashing down. The Dutch football star, known for his defensive prowess, shared his disappointment after their recent defeat.

In other news, Ruud van Nistelrooy, the former Manchester United striker, has made a triumphant return to the club. He will now be a part of the revamped coaching operation under the guidance of manager Erik ten Hag. Ten Hag’s position at the club was uncertain towards the end of the previous season, but he received the backing of new co-owner Jim Ratcliffe, resulting in a contract extension.

With his future secured, Ten Hag wasted no time in overhauling his coaching staff. One of the notable additions is Van Nistelrooy, who scored an impressive 150 goals during his time at Old Trafford. Alongside him, Rene Hake has also been appointed as an assistant manager for the men’s first team.

Ten Hag expressed his delight at the new additions, stating, “I am delighted that Rene and Ruud have agreed to join our project, adding a wealth of experience, knowledge, and new energy to the staff. Now is a good time to refresh the coaching team as we look to build on the achievements of the past two years and push to the next level.”

As the coaching staff undergoes changes, Mitchell van der Gaag and Benni McCarthy have departed from Old Trafford. However, Steve McClaren and Darren Fletcher will continue to play crucial roles as senior first-team coach and first-team coach, respectively.

Regarding the departures, Ten Hag paid tribute to their contributions, saying, “Mitchell has decided that now is the right time for him to pursue his own ambitions in a No. 1 position; I want to pay tribute to his fantastic service over the past two years, and also to Benni for his important contributions. We send them our thanks and best wishes for the future.”

In addition to the changes in the coaching staff, there has also been a shift in the playing staff. United confirmed the sale of Donny van de Beek to Girona, marking a significant change in the team’s composition.

Looking ahead, United will kick off the new Premier League campaign with a home match against Fulham on August 16. Their first away match of the season will be against Brighton, which will be broadcasted by TNT Sports on August 24. The Red Devils are eager to start the season on a high note and make their mark in the league.
