Ruben Amorim thinks that winning the UEFA Europa League is insufficient for Manchester United.

**”Nothing Can Save Our Season” – Amorim Claims Europa League Triumph Won’t Define United’s Campaign**

Ruben Amorim has made it clear that even if Manchester United were to clinch the UEFA Europa League title, it would not salvage what has been a tumultuous season for the club. The Red Devils have advanced to the last 16 of the competition, where they are set to face Real Sociedad, a match that will be broadcast live on TNT Sports and discovery+.

The pressure is mounting on the Portuguese manager, who took the reins in November but has struggled to elevate the club’s position in the Premier League. Currently languishing in 14th place, United have managed to secure just three victories from their last 11 league matches. This statistic has left fans and pundits alike questioning the team’s direction.

In an exclusive interview with TNT Sports, Amorim expressed his thoughts on the current state of affairs. “It’s just the pressure of winning. In this club, everything is so important,” he stated. “The pressure to win is always the same. It’s not just about winning; it’s about performance as well. Right now, we are under a lot of pressure.”

Amorim acknowledged that many view the Europa League as the sole opportunity to redeem the season, but he disagrees. “I don’t see it like that. Nothing can save our season,” he asserted. “In this club, you have to perform in every competition. I understand the importance of wanting to win and progress, but the league position has made this season particularly challenging.”

Goals have been a significant concern for United throughout the campaign. Rasmus Hojlund, the young Danish striker, has found the net just seven times this season, with his last goal coming 18 games ago in December. However, the Europa League has been a different story for the 22-year-old, who has scored five times in the competition. Amorim believes this upcoming match could provide Hojlund with the chance to break his scoring drought.

“I think it is,” Amorim said when asked if the Europa League could be a turning point for Hojlund. “In football, anything can change in a month. One game can alter your perspective. It’s another opportunity, and having the next match is a good thing.”

The manager also highlighted the team’s struggles in creating goal-scoring opportunities. “We don’t create a lot of situations. Sometimes we fail to support our forwards and strikers as we should,” he explained. “If we improve as a team, the way we play will benefit every player.”

As Hojlund looks to regain his confidence, Amorim believes the same applies to the entire squad. Recent weeks have seen intense scrutiny of United’s form, with some even questioning the manager’s future. While he acknowledges that the discourse surrounding his position will persist, he admits that a return to winning ways would alleviate some of the pressure.

“This club has all the noises,” he remarked. “If one subject ends, another will begin. We have to deal with that. Winning is crucial; you can feel the difference in the atmosphere during the week when we secure victories. Like any team, you need to win to be happy and prepare for the next game. If not, the preparation becomes much tougher.”
