Real Madrid 5-3 Atlético Madrid: Exhibición tardía mientras Los Blancos anotan dos veces en tiempo extra, avanzan a la final de la Supercopa de España.

Real Madrid’s Spanish forward #21 Brahim Diaz was the hero of the night as he celebrated with his teammates after scoring his team’s fifth goal in a thrilling Spanish Super Cup semi-final match against Atletico Madrid at the Al-Awwal Park Stadium in Riyadh.

The match between the two Madrid rivals was a spectacle of football, delivering entertainment in abundance to the lively crowd in Riyadh. The game was played at an intense pace, with both teams giving their all until they tired in the additional half hour of extra time.

The first half saw an array of goals, with set-piece headers from Mario Hermoso and Antony Rudiger, followed by a clever flicked finish from Ferland Mendy and a brilliant solo strike from Antoine Griezmann. Griezmann’s goal not only leveled the score at 2-2 but also made him Atletico’s all-time leading scorer.

In normal time, it seemed that Atletico had secured victory when a mistake from Kepa Arrizabalaga resulted in an own goal from Rudiger. However, Real Madrid showed their resilience and determination as Dani Carvajal scored a late equalizer, capitalizing on a move that saw Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham both denied in the box.

The match went into extra time, and it was Real Madrid who emerged victorious. A looping own goal from Stefan Savic put them in the lead, and in the final seconds of the game, Brahim Diaz sealed the win with a lightning-fast sprint and finish from just inside the Atletico half, leaving goalkeeper Jan Oblak helpless.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side, who had been the better team throughout the night, will now face either Barcelona or Osasuna in the final on Sunday at the same venue in the Saudi Arabian capital. The stage is set for an exciting showdown as Real Madrid aim to claim the Supercopa de Espana title.
