Newcastle United bounced back to success by defeating Fulham, as they returned to their winning form in the Premier League. Additionally, the match between Bournemouth and Luton Town had to be called off.

After their disappointment in the UEFA Champions League, Newcastle United responded strongly by securing a convincing 3-0 win against Fulham, who were reduced to 10 men, at St James’ Park. The Magpies had been facing difficulties in the Premier League but managed to regain their momentum against a lackluster Cottagers team.

Manager Eddie Howe implemented some modifications to the initial lineup, bringing back Dan Burn as the left-back and shifting Tino Livramento to his preferred right-hand side. Sean Longstaff also made a successful return, while the 17-year-old Lewis Miley was omitted from the starting lineup and placed on the substitutes’ bench. Tom Lockyer, Luton’s captain, unexpectedly collapsed without any interference and received prompt medical attention. As a result, the match was temporarily halted and ultimately called off, with Lockyer being carried off the pitch on a stretcher. The outcome of the game is still undecided.
