Manchester United might propose a deal where they would trade Antony for Real Sociedad’s Takefusa Kubo.
According to reports, there are talks of a potential exchange deal between Man Utd and Real Sociedad involving Antony and Takefusa Kubo. Antony has had a tough season so far, failing to score or assist in 19 matches. The Manchester Evening News suggests that United is monitoring Kubo, who has been performing well with six goals and four assists in 24 games. However, it seems improbable for United to offer Antony in return for Kubo, particularly with Jadon Sancho expected to leave on loan. The club’s transfer strategy might be influenced by the arrival of Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Sociedad has made it clear that they are not interested in a swap deal.
In other updates, Manchester United is in search of a striker for the January transfer window to create competition for Rasmus Hojlund and address Erik ten Hag’s goal shortage. Hojlund, despite being the joint top scorer in the UEFA Champions League, has not scored in any of his 14 Premier League appearances. With United’s failure to score in their past four matches, the club is eager to find a solution. According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United has engaged in discussions with the agents of Donyell Malen, Serhou Guirassy, and Timo Werner.
On the other hand, it has been reported that Liverpool has abandoned their pursuit of Andre Trindade. The talented Brazilian midfielder played a crucial part in Fluminense’s victory in the Copa Libertadores, which attracted attention from European clubs. Initially, Liverpool was believed to be in the lead to secure his signature, but they have now withdrawn from the race. Fluminense has made it clear that they will not sell Trindade until the conclusion of their domestic campaign in December.
