Manchester United has set a price for the summer transfers of Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo.

Manchester United Open to Selling Star Duo

In a significant development for Manchester United, the club is reportedly prepared to part ways with their promising young talents, Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo. The latest reports suggest that the Red Devils would consider offers of £70 million for Garnacho and over £80 million for Mainoo, as they look to reshape their squad.

According to *The Mirror*, both players were the subject of transfer speculation during the January window. Garnacho found himself linked with moves to Napoli and Chelsea, but no deal materialised. Meanwhile, Chelsea also expressed interest in Mainoo, but again, a transfer did not come to fruition.

United’s hierarchy has made it clear what it would take to secure the services of these young stars. Garnacho, who has been making waves with his performances, is valued at around £70 million. In contrast, Mainoo, who recently signed a new contract in February 2023 that runs for another two-and-a-half years, has a price tag exceeding £80 million. Although discussions regarding an extended contract for Mainoo have taken place, an agreement has yet to be reached, with the club reportedly unwilling to meet his demands.

United Eyeing Quenda Deal

As Manchester United contemplate the potential sale of their young duo, they are also eyeing a move for Sporting Lisbon forward Geovany Quenda. The 17-year-old is set to turn 18 in April, which would allow United to pursue a deal in the summer, with a fee of around £33 million being discussed.

*The Athletic* reports that due to Premier League regulations preventing clubs from signing players under 18 from abroad, a deal for Quenda can only be finalised in the summer. United has already secured a pre-contract agreement for another young talent, left-back Diego Leon from Paraguayan side Cerro Porteno, wrapping up negotiations before Christmas.

In other news, Paul Pogba’s return to availability as a free agent following the lifting of his drugs ban has sparked speculation. Although his representatives maintain a good relationship with United’s technical director Jason Wilcox, no discussions have taken place regarding a potential return to Old Trafford. Pogba is currently focused on regaining fitness ahead of his suspension’s conclusion in March.

Arsenal’s Failed Pursuit of Morata

In a disappointing turn of events for Arsenal, the Gunners were unable to secure a loan deal for AC Milan striker Alvaro Morata. Instead, the Spaniard opted for a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray. Arsenal had also shown interest in Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia, but that deal also fell through.

*The Sun* reports that Mikel Arteta was keen to bolster his attacking options before the January transfer window closed. Despite links to several high-profile strikers, including Benjamin Sesko and Ollie Watkins, the club ultimately missed out on Morata, who was believed to be a priority target. The Gunners did engage in talks with Garcia’s representatives, who also represent Morata, but were unable to finalise a deal.

Chelsea Eyeing Garnacho and Gittens

Chelsea are not resting on their laurels as they prepare for a busy summer transfer window. The Blues have set their sights on several young talents, including Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho and Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens.

According to *The Daily Mail*, Chelsea is already planning to bring in new additions, such as Palmeiras’ 17-year-old wonderkid Estevao Willian, Genk’s 19-year-old goalkeeper Mike Penders, Strasbourg’s 19-year-old defender Mamadou Sarr, and Independiente del Valle’s 17-year-old attacker Kendry Paez. The club has also laid the groundwork for potential signings, including Garnacho and Gittens, through discussions held during the January window.

However, before any new arrivals, Chelsea must focus on their current squad, as they face a crucial run-in with their final four Premier League matches set to be pivotal in their season.
