Manchester United and Arsenal are both competing to sign Joshua Zirkzee, who is a target for AC Milan.

Joshua Zirkzee, the talented striker for Bologna FC, is attracting interest from top English clubs Manchester United and Arsenal. However, they face competition from AC Milan and Juventus for his signature.

According to reports, Zirkzee prefers a move to AC Milan and has instructed his agents to facilitate the transfer. The 22-year-old has been in impressive form this season, scoring 10 goals and providing four assists in 28 matches. Despite Bologna’s success in Serie A, Zirkzee is expected to leave the club in the summer. AC Milan is said to be considering a bid of around £42.9 million and may also offer the full ownership of Alexis Saelemaekers, who has been on loan at Bologna.

Meanwhile, Thomas Partey, the midfielder for Arsenal, has expressed his desire to extend his contract with the club. However, there are rumors that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta may be willing to sell him to raise funds for new signings. Partey’s current deal expires next summer, and there have been no talks yet about a new offer. Juventus has previously shown interest in the 30-year-old, and there have also been links to a move to the Saudi Pro League.

In other news, Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim is attracting attention from Premier League clubs. Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester United are all reportedly interested in the Portuguese coach. Amorim’s camp is actively exploring potential opportunities in the Premier League as he considers his next move. While Liverpool is aware of his willingness to come to England, Amorim is likely to have multiple options if he decides to leave Sporting. Chelsea, who have been long-term admirers of Amorim, have distanced themselves from a summer move, while Manchester United may be in the market for a new manager due to uncertainty over INEOS’ commitment to Erik ten Hag.

Furthermore, Manchester United’s restructuring continues as they look to strengthen their backroom staff. Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the club’s owner, is building out the setup and is reportedly looking to appoint a chief business officer. This individual would oversee the club’s revenue-generating departments, including sponsorships and e-commerce. The appointment would come as part of the club’s efforts to maximize commercial opportunities and boost their financial performance.

Omar Berrada is set to become the club’s new chief executive, replacing Richard Arnold, who left in December. Berrada previously served as the chief operations officer for City Football Group, which includes Manchester City.
