Manchester City is planning to offer Rodri a highly attractive contract to ensure he stays with the team for the rest of his career.
Rodri, the Spanish midfielder for Manchester City, is set to receive a lucrative contract extension from the club. The Sun reports that City will offer Rodri a “megabucks pay hike” in order to keep him at the Etihad Stadium for the rest of his career. The 27-year-old, who still has three years left on his current deal, is seen as a key figure in Pep Guardiola’s star-studded team. City’s top brass wants to recognize his importance by making him one of the highest earners at the club.
Rodri currently earns around £180,000 a week, but the new offer will see his wages rise to around £300,000. Talks about the extension will take place after the season, as City focuses on their quest for a second successive Treble. The club hopes to add a few more years to Rodri’s contract, keeping him at City until he is 32.
Inter Milan Offered Anthony Martial
Manchester United striker Anthony Martial has been offered to Inter Milan as he prepares to leave Old Trafford this summer. The 28-year-old, who has not played since December, will be out of contract at the end of the season. Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Inter have been given the chance to sign Martial “for nothing.” While Inter will consider the offer, Martial is not their top target for a striker. The main concern is Martial’s injury record, as he has struggled with constant setbacks throughout his time at United. Inter’s priority is Albert Gudmundsson of Genoa and Iceland, but Martial remains an option for the Italian club.
Tottenham Offer Tanguy Ndombele to Galatasaray
Tottenham Hotspur is looking to offload midfielder Tanguy Ndombele and has offered him to Galatasaray for a fee of £4.3 million. Ndombele, who is currently on loan at the Turkish club, has had a difficult time since joining Tottenham in 2019. The Frenchman has struggled with fitness issues and has failed to impress during his loan spell at Galatasaray. The Turkish side had the option to buy Ndombele permanently for £11 million but declined to do so. Now, Spurs are hoping to find a buyer for the 27-year-old and have offered him to Galatasaray at a reduced price. However, it is unlikely that Galatasaray will accept the offer, as they are expected to turn it down.
