Man Utd to Offer Antony for Flamengo’s Gabriel Barbosa
United Eyeing Brazilian Striker Barbosa
Manchester United have set their sights on Brazilian forward Gabriel Barbosa and are willing to offer Antony in a loan swap deal, reports the Mirror. Barbosa, who has been in fine form for Flamengo this season with 18 goals in all competitions, is available for a discounted fee of £20 million as his contract expires in 2024. Flamengo is also interested in taking Antony on loan in exchange for Barbosa, who has struggled to find the back of the net this season. Antony, who joined United for £82 million from Ajax in 2022, has faced a troubled season due to allegations of domestic abuse.

The proposed takeover of Everton by 777 Partners is approaching completion as the Football Association has given the prospective new owners the green light to assume executive leadership roles at the club, according to The Telegraph. Josh Wander and Steven Pasko, co-founders of 777 Partners, have cleared the first hurdle in their buy-out of Everton and are now qualified to join the board of directors. However, the Miami-based firm still needs to pass the Premier League owners’ test, and the process of buying out majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri is yet to be ratified.

Reports suggest that four big names in world football are set to make moves to MLS as their current contracts approach expiration, writes the Mail. Olivier Giroud, Antoine Griezmann, Luka Modric, and Luis Suarez have all been linked with moves to MLS within the next year. Suarez, in particular, is close to joining Inter Miami, reuniting with his friend Lionel Messi, after his contract with Brazilian side Gremio was shortened due to knee issues. Giroud has been rumored for a free transfer to the U.S. since the start of the Serie A season, while Modric is reportedly unhappy with his game time at Real Madrid. Griezmann has long expressed interest in ending his career in America.
AC Milan Interested in Kiwior
AC Milan is considering a move for Jakub Kiwior in January to address their defensive injury crisis, reports The Sun. Kiwior, who joined Arsenal for £21 million last January, has made limited appearances for the Gunners, with just 14 outings, mostly at left-back. AC Milan, currently dealing with injuries to Marco Pellegrino and Pierre Kalulu, has identified Kiwior as a potential solution to their defensive woes.
