Kylian Mbappe is uncertain about his future with Paris Saint-Germain, particularly due to the rumors linking him to Real Madrid.
Kylian Mbappe, the talented French forward, has revealed that he is yet to make a decision regarding his future at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). With only six months remaining on his contract, Mbappe could potentially leave the club on a free transfer in the summer if he does not extend his deal. This news has sparked interest from top La Liga side Real Madrid, who have long been admirers of the 25-year-old, as well as Premier League champions Liverpool.
Following PSG’s victory in the Trophee des Champions on Wednesday, Mbappe spoke to the press about his uncertain future. He stated, “No, to start with I’m very motivated by this year. It’s very important. We have titles to win and we have already won one. I haven’t made my decision yet. I haven’t made a choice. With the agreement I had with the president in the summer, my decision is not important as we managed to protect all the parties and preserved the serenity of the club for the challenges to come, which is the most important. So we will say that it (the decision) is secondary.”
Mbappe had previously been expected to join Real Madrid in the summer of 2022 on a free transfer. However, after months of uncertainty, he signed a new lucrative deal with PSG. When asked if he would once again delay his decision about his future, Mbappe responded, “I don’t know. It was at the end of May in 2022 because I didn’t know until May. If I know what I want to do, why wait? It would make no sense but like I have said, the most important are the titles. We have won one already and we are determined to win more. My personal situation, inside the club, nobody talks about it, it doesn’t interest much.”
Mbappe showcased his value to the team with a sensational goal as PSG secured their first silverware of the season with a 2-0 triumph over Toulouse. Lee Kang-in also found the back of the net, marking Luis Enrique’s first trophy since taking charge of the Ligue 1 giants at the beginning of the campaign. With 21 goals to his name, Mbappe is currently PSG’s leading scorer this season, and his exceptional performances have helped the reigning champions establish a five-point lead at the top of the Ligue 1 table ahead of Nice.
