Jose Mourinho is set to acquire a former Arsenal player, while Bayern Munich is interested in a Chelsea striker due to Jamal Musiala’s injury.
**Mourinho Eyeing Ex-Arsenal Star**
According to Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport, former Arsenal and Manchester United attacker Alexis Sanchez could be on the move from Udinese to Turkish outfit Fenerbahce.
Jose Mourinho, currently managing Fenerbahce, has a history with Sanchez, having signed him during his tenure at Manchester United in 2018. The report suggests that the Istanbul club is keen on bringing the Chilean forward to Turkey, with a one-year contract reportedly worth €4 million (£3.5m) already prepared.
The proposed agreement includes a clause for automatic renewal for a second season, contingent on Sanchez playing at least 70% of the total minutes or contributing 15 goals for the team.
**Bayern Make Approach for Nkunku**
In other transfer news, Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku is still on the market, with Bayern Munich reportedly considering a move for the Frenchman. The German club is exploring options following the confirmed departure of Leroy Sane.
According to sources, Nkunku’s agent, Pini Zahavi, is in discussions regarding a potential deal. Chelsea previously rejected a loan offer with an option to buy, as they are only interested in a permanent sale. Bayern’s interest has resurfaced, with sporting director Max Eberl familiar with Nkunku from their time together at Leipzig.
**Osimhen Chooses Galatasaray**
Victor Osimhen is keen to leave Napoli for Galatasaray, where he spent last season on loan, according to Italy’s Corriere dello Sport. However, negotiations are proving difficult, with the Turkish club reportedly haggling over the Nigerian striker’s €75m (£65m) price tag.
The report states that Osimhen has expressed his desire to continue his relationship with Galatasaray. Napoli, however, remains firm on their asking price, insisting they will not entertain discounts. The club’s demand is linked to Osimhen’s contract, which runs until 2026, with an option for unilateral renewal until 2027.
Galatasaray has made offers of €50m (£43m) and then €60m (£52m), but Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has firmly rejected both. Meanwhile, Al-Hilal remains in the background, prepared to meet the full release clause after previously attempting to negotiate a discount.
**Benfica Targeting Lyon’s Almada**
In a final piece of transfer news, Benfica is reportedly targeting a move for Botafogo’s Thiago Almada, as per Gianluca Di Marzio. Almada spent the latter half of last season on loan at Lyon, where he scored two goals and provided four assists across all competitions.
However, Lyon, facing financial difficulties and provisional relegation to Ligue 2, has been unable to secure Almada on a permanent basis. Di Marzio reports that Benfica is pressing for the player, having had their initial offer of €35m rejected.
Negotiations are ongoing, with Benfica in talks with Eagle Football Holdings, the owner of both Botafogo and Lyon. A new bid of around €40m (£35m) is expected in the coming hours, as both parties inch closer to an agreement.
