Joe Cole is of the opinion that Bayer Leverkusen has the potential to emerge victorious in the UEFA Champions League final if they were to face Borussia Dortmund or Real Madrid.

Bayer Leverkusen have secured their place in the UEFA Europa League final after defeating AS Roma 4-2 on aggregate. This victory extends their unbeaten run to an impressive 49 games, surpassing Benfica’s previous European record.

Former England international Joe Cole has expressed his belief that Leverkusen have what it takes to defeat the two UEFA Champions League finalists, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund. Cole praised the team’s manager, Xabi Alonso, for his incredible work and the team’s ability to find solutions to any challenges they face on the pitch.

Leverkusen’s dominance has been evident throughout their campaign, as they comfortably won the German league and cruised to the final of the Europa League. Despite Roma’s defensive efforts and resilience, they were no match for the impressive Leverkusen side.

Next, Leverkusen will aim to extend their unbeaten streak to 50 games when they face Bochum on May 12, followed by a match against Augsburg six days later. The team will then travel to Dublin for the Europa League final, which takes place just three days before their German Cup final against Kaiserslautern.

The stage is set for Leverkusen to make history and claim victory in Europe’s secondary competition. With their remarkable form and talent, they are certainly a force to be reckoned with.
