In a comfortable victory at home against Fulham, Bournemouth witnessed impressive performances by Alex Scott portraying Justin Kluivert, while Dominic Solanke found the back of the net.
In a splendid display, Alex Scott, Bournemouth’s new addition for the summer, demonstrated his talents, contributing to an impressive 3-0 triumph over Fulham in the Premier League on Tuesday. Scott’s outstanding assist led to Justin Kluivert finding the back of the net for the opening goal, with Dominic Solanke converting a penalty and Luis Sinisterra securing the win in added time.
Bournemouth had ambitions of ascending the standings to contend for a spot in Europe, while Fulham, trailing just one point behind, sought to enhance their position as they reached the midway point of the season. Solanke, the top scorer for Bournemouth, encountered a challenging task from Marco Silva’s squad during the initial period. They effectively prevented him and the rest of the home team from scoring.
Nevertheless, it was Kluivert who managed to score the first goal in the 44th minute following an impressive sprint from the talented Scott. In the second half, Bournemouth increased their advantage when Joao Palhinha committed a foul on Antoine Semenyo inside the penalty box. Solanke confidently took the penalty kick and successfully converted it, maintaining his outstanding goal-scoring performance. Emotions ran high when Bernd Leno, the goalkeeper for Fulham, was cautioned for showing his disagreement and got into a physical altercation with a ball boy. Thankfully, the referee chose not to escalate the situation. Leno later expressed his regret to both the Bournemouth supporters and the ball boy. In the end, Sinisterra sealed the victory with an impressive and curved shot in the final moments of the game, resulting in a 3-0 score.
Looking ahead, Fulham’s upcoming match will take place at Craven Cottage on New Year’s Eve, where they will face Arsenal who are in pursuit of the title. Fulham aims to improve their current 13th position in the standings.
