Aston Villa had high hopes of securing a victory to reclaim their second-place position after Manchester City’s triumph over Newcastle United on Saturday. However, Sean Dyche’s team proved to be a tough nut to crack, resulting in Unai Emery overseeing his first-ever Premier League goalless draw.

The game had its fair share of controversial moments. Alex Moreno’s exceptional strike was disallowed by VAR due to Leon Bailey being offside in the build-up.
