Despite being under the management of Erik ten Hag, the Red Devils have had a lackluster season, facing 10 defeats and finding themselves in sixth position in the Premier League, with their chances of progressing in the UEFA Champions League hanging by a thread.

Recently, the pressure on ten Hag has been extremely high, and even though the victory over Chelsea by 2-1 has brought some relief, the Dutch coach understands that in order to achieve long-term success, it is necessary to make changes to the team’s roster.

According to The Independent, Sir Jim Ratcliffe is on the verge of taking charge of United’s sporting decisions through a £1.3 billion deal for a 25% ownership stake in the club, pending official approval. It is reported that ten Hag intends to make a significant statement by considering offers for well-known players such as Casemiro, Sancho, and Varane. Liverpool is said to be interested in strengthening their defense by focusing on Maxence Lacroix from Wolfsburg. After Joel Matip suffered a serious knee injury that will keep him out for the rest of the season, the Reds are in urgent need of a new defender. Lacroix, who is valued at a minimum of £25 million, has caught their attention, and Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi is also being considered by Jurgen Klopp’s team.
