Arsenal is preparing to make a £70 million offer for Real Madrid forward Rodrygo, while Chelsea is looking to acquire another striker.

Arsenal may have to exercise patience in their pursuit of Real Madrid’s Rodrygo, according to The Mirror. The Brazilian winger could be available for a hefty £70 million, contingent on the Spanish club’s stance in the coming weeks.

The report states, “Arsenal may have to play a waiting game to land Real Madrid superstar Rodrygo. The Gunners are chasing an elite-level left-winger, and the Brazil international is on their radar as an ambitious target for this summer.”

Real Madrid might be open to letting Rodrygo leave, but they would demand more than £70 million, and his wage expectations would position him among Arsenal’s top earners. Arsenal’s sporting director, Andrea Berta, has been in discussions with various top clubs, agents, and players this summer, and there is a belief that Real Madrid could be willing to negotiate.

At 24, Rodrygo may also be seeking a new challenge, despite being part of one of football’s most formidable attacking trios alongside Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe. However, Arsenal are aware that Real Madrid’s position could soften as the transfer window progresses, potentially leading to a more favourable deal later on.

Bayern Munich have set their sights on Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli as they look to strengthen their squad this summer. After missing out on Florian Wirtz and witnessing Leroy Sane’s departure to Galatasaray, the Bundesliga champions are in need of reinforcements.

The Evening Standard reports, “The newly crowned German champions are looking to bolster their forward line after Leroy Sane joined Galatasaray as a free agent earlier this summer. They returned to the drawing board after being pipped to Florian Wirtz’s signature by Liverpool and have named a star-studded list of targets.”

Martinelli, 24, is among those targets. He joined Arsenal from Brazilian side Ituano for a mere £6 million in 2019 and has established himself as a first-team regular under Mikel Arteta, netting eight goals and providing four assists in 33 Premier League appearances last season. Arsenal’s asking price for the Brazilian remains unclear, but he is reportedly not keen on leaving, with his contract running until 2027.

Everton are poised to sign Fulham defender Kenny Tete as his contract nears its end. The Dutch full-back, who joined Fulham in 2020, looks set to make the switch to Goodison Park as David Moyes embarks on a rebuilding project.

The Athletic states, “Everton have made progress over a deal to sign Fulham defender Kenny Tete on a free transfer. The 29-year-old is set to leave Craven Cottage when his contract expires at the end of this month.”

Tete made 22 appearances in the Premier League for Fulham last season. He joined the club from Lyon in September 2020 and has since made 121 appearances, scoring four goals and providing ten assists.

Chelsea are reportedly in negotiations to acquire Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani, despite having recently signed Liam Delap. Kolo Muani spent the latter half of last season on loan at Juventus and appears set to depart the UEFA Champions League winners.

The Sun explains, “Chelsea have entered talks with Paris Saint-Germain to sign Randal Kolo Muani. The Blues are aiming to further bolster their front line, having already signed Liam Delap from Ipswich for £30 million.”

Kolo Muani, 26, is a regular in the French national team and was acquired by PSG for over £70 million in 2023. However, his time in Paris has not gone as planned, leading to his loan spell at Juventus.
