Amad Diallo is prepared to battle for Manchester United following his impressive hat-trick performance.

**Amad Diallo’s Heroics Propel Manchester United to Victory Over Southampton**

In a thrilling encounter at Old Trafford, Amad Diallo emerged as the hero for Manchester United, scoring a stunning 12-minute hat-trick that turned the tide against Southampton. The Ivorian’s late surge helped his side come from behind to secure a 3-1 victory, lifting them up the Premier League table.

The first half saw United struggle to find their rhythm, with Southampton taking a surprising lead just before the break. An own goal from Manuel Ugarte handed the visitors, currently languishing at the bottom of the league, a deserved advantage. Southampton’s performance was commendable, with their attacking efforts repeatedly thwarted by United’s goalkeeper, Andre Onana. The Cameroonian made a remarkable double save, reminiscent of the legendary Peter Schmeichel, denying both Tyler Dibling and Mateus Fernandes.

The turning point came in the 82nd minute when Diallo capitalised on a fortunate ricochet in the box. With the ball at his feet, he calmly slotted it past Aaron Ramsdale to level the score. As the match approached injury time, Diallo struck again, connecting beautifully with a chipped pass from Christian Eriksen to volley home, showcasing his exceptional skill.

Completing his hat-trick just four minutes later, Diallo pounced on a heavy touch from Southampton defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis, rolling the ball into an empty net and sealing a remarkable comeback for the Red Devils.

In a post-match interview with TNT Sports, Diallo expressed his delight, stating, “In football, you have to believe it, and we believed until the end. We are very happy to win this game because we drew against Liverpool and Arsenal, so the confidence was there.”

He continued, “We have quality players in this team. Sometimes we need to be more hungry in the final third, and today we showed that we were the best team on the pitch. I’m so happy for the win today because this team deserved it.”

Reflecting on his performance, Diallo noted, “Maybe one of the best weeks of my life, but I’m very happy for this win because this team deserved to win this game.” With this hat-trick, Diallo has now scored seven, eight, and nine goals in what has been an impressive campaign, establishing himself as one of United’s standout performers.

“I’m ready to play every position. I’m ready to play right wing-back, No. 10, wherever the manager likes to put me. I’m so happy to score a hat-trick, but the most important thing is the win for the club,” he added. Following this victory, Manchester United have climbed to 12th in the Premier League table, a much-needed boost for the team.

**Amorim Acknowledges Room for Improvement**

Despite the jubilant atmosphere following the comeback, United’s manager, Ruben Amorim, acknowledged that there is still much work to be done. Having inherited the squad from Sporting CP, he expressed concerns about the team’s performance, particularly in terms of control and fatigue.

“In the end, it’s good. It was a very difficult game, a game of duels,” he told TNT Sports. “Southampton did a very good job, creating space between the lines, and we had a lot of difficulties to stop their No. 20 (Kamaldeen Sulemana).”

Amorim noted the physical and mental toll of recent matches against Liverpool and Arsenal, stating, “The feeling is we have so much to do. I felt the team were really tired. Winning is the most important thing right now, but we didn’t play a very good game.”

He remains committed to implementing his preferred 3-4-3 system but recognises that adjustments may be necessary. “The profile sometimes is not the right one, but we have to improve players,” he concluded, setting the stage for further development as the season progresses.
