In the latest transfer news, Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal are reportedly keen on securing the services of two Manchester United targets. After missing out on Victor Osimhen, Al Hilal have now turned their attention to RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko and Crystal Palace forward Jean-Philippe Mateta.

According to The Sun, “Saudi giants Al Hilal could tempt RB Leipzig with a sensational offer for hitman Benjamin Sesko after failing to convince Victor Osimhen to join them.” The club is actively searching for a striker this summer and has already faced rejection from Osimhen, who appears set to remain in Turkey.

Now, Al Hilal are eyeing the towering 6ft 5in Sesko, who has also been linked with a move to Manchester United. Additionally, Crystal Palace’s Mateta is on their radar, as he quietly seeks a new deal behind the scenes. Another name being considered is Fiorentina’s Moise Kean, who had an impressive season, netting 25 goals across all competitions.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur are eager to reunite their new manager, Thomas Frank, with Brentford forward Yoane Wissa. However, the Bees are demanding around £50 million for the striker, which may be too steep for a player approaching 29.

The Evening Standard reports, “Tottenham enquired about Wissa, who scored 19 Premier League goals last season, earlier in the summer and were told by Brentford that a fee of at least £50m would be required.” There has been no contact between the clubs for the past two weeks as Spurs deliberate whether the DR Congo international is worth the hefty price tag. Should they pursue Wissa, it could potentially derail Manchester United’s interest in Bryan Mbeumo.

Speaking of United, they are still keen on bringing in Brentford’s Mbeumo, despite facing challenges over the transfer fee. The Daily Star indicates that the club has set a deadline to secure his signature before their pre-season tour.

The report states, “Initially, United had their sights set on signing Mbeumo before pre-season training kicked off.” With a group of fifteen players returning to Carrington, including new signings Diego Leon and Matheus Cunha, the urgency for swift action is clear. Having missed their initial deadline, United now aim to finalise the deal before heading to the States for their first match of the Premier League Summer Series against West Ham United on 27 July.

Lastly, Leeds United are exploring alternatives after their bid of up to £12 million for Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff fell short. The Athletic suggests that the newly promoted side is now considering Anton Stach, having lost out on two other targets to Sunderland.

The website notes, “Leeds United are looking at other midfield options with their move for Newcastle United’s Sean Longstaff appearing to be in doubt.” Despite Longstaff’s eagerness for a move to Elland Road and personal terms reportedly being in place, the deal seems unlikely to progress. Leeds are also interested in TSG Hoffenheim’s giant midfielder Anton Stach, while Habib Diarra and Noah Sadiki were previously shortlisted before Sunderland secured their signatures in this window.
